Heating & Air Conditioning in Lafayette, IN

Locally Owned in Lafayette, Indiana

My Guys Heating & Air is owned by Lafayette residents Kelly and Doug McManomy. With over twenty years of HVAC experience behind us, we run the company the way we'd want our own homes treated: honest guidance, transparent pricing and friendly support, from the first phone call to the finished job.

We are Lafayette's only Armstrong Air Pro Team® dealer, all of our HVAC technicians are licensed and insured, and we're proud of our A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. The equipment we install comes from brands we trust: Armstrong Air furnaces, air conditioners and heat pumps, GeoComfort geothermal systems, Mitsubishi ductless mini-splits, Weil-McLain boilers and Rinnai tankless water heaters. We also repair all makes and models, so you don't need to own one of our brands to call us.

Geothermal Heating and Cooling Specialists

Geothermal is what sets My Guys apart. A geothermal heat pump uses the steady temperature of the ground, between about 45° and 70°F below the surface, to heat your home in winter and cool it in summer. Because nothing burns, there's no risk of carbon monoxide, and efficiency ratings of 400 to 500 percent leave even the best gas furnace behind. Geothermal systems run quietly with no outdoor condenser and typically provide 20 to 24 years of reliable comfort.

We design the ground loop around your property: horizontal loops where there's open land, vertical loops for smaller lots and retrofits, and pond or open loops where water is available. The federal geothermal tax credit has expired, but the energy savings haven't. Call us for a free estimate on a geothermal heating and cooling system for your home.

Heating and Cooling Service Across Greater Lafayette

Lafayette is our home base. From here we serve homes across Tippecanoe County and the surrounding communities, including:

• West Lafayette, from rentals near Purdue University to established neighborhoods
• Battle Ground, including historic homes near the Tippecanoe Battlefield
• Brookston, with its farmhouses, propane heat and agricultural buildings
• Delphi, the Carroll County seat, and its older homes near the courthouse square
• Monticello and lake area properties on Lake Shafer and Lake Freeman

Wherever you live, you get the same locally owned team and the same commitment to getting the job done right the first time.

Maintenance Plans and Financing

Most breakdowns start as small problems a tune-up would have caught. Our maintenance agreement covers a spring cooling visit and a fall heating visit: coil cleaning, refrigerant and electrical checks, filter replacement, thermostat calibration, and a careful look at your furnace's heat exchanger, burners and ignition system. When it's time for new equipment, financing is available for qualified applicants, so a new furnace, air conditioner or geothermal system can fit your budget.
